It is entirely self-contained, meaning the drive motor travels with the car, completely eliminating the need for a machine room or a load-bearing elevator shaft.

1. True Machine-Room-Less (MRL) Design
Because the rack and pinion drive mechanism is mounted directly on the car itself, the Alimak SL requires zero space above the top landing. This makes it the absolute best choice for retrofitting into existing structures where overhead clearance is restricted.
2. Built for the Caribbean Climate
Despite its compact size, the SL is not a light-duty commercial lift. Its mast is constructed from hot-dipped galvanized steel, and the car is made from extruded aluminum. It is highly resistant to the salt-air corrosion of coastal ports and the abrasive dust of cement and agricultural silos.
3. Fast and Flexible Installation
The SL utilizes a simplified, lightweight mast system. This allows our installation teams to erect the elevator quickly, bolting it directly to existing steel or concrete structures (like the side of a tank or a tower) with minimal disruption to your daily operations.
