Traditional elevators require enclosed shafts, which can trap dangerous gases and create a buildup of explosive fumes. The Alimak SE-Ex travels on an open-lattice galvanized steel mast, allowing natural ventilation and preventing the dangerous accumulation of hazardous gases.
